How to Get your WAEC Certificate An Example of a WAEC original Certificate From Here West African Examination Council's certificate can either be gotten from your secondary school where you registered and wrote the Examination (for May/June) or at any WAEC office nationwide (for Nov/Dec or GCE) provided you wrote it in Nigeria. Original Certificate for WAEC is usually required for screening purposes in higher institution. It is required in University of Ilorin during Penultimate screening which comes up a year to the official graduating year of a student. For example, an Industrial Chemistry student studying a 4 year course will have his/her penultimate screening in 300 level while an Chemical Engineering student studying a 5 year course will have that in 400 level.
