How to Get your WAEC Certificate An Example of a WAEC original Certificate From Here West African Examination Council's certificate can either be gotten from your secondary school where you registered and wrote the Examination (for May/June) or at any WAEC office nationwide (for Nov/Dec or GCE) provided you wrote it in Nigeria. Original Certificate for WAEC is usually required for screening purposes in higher institution. It is required in University of Ilorin during Penultimate screening which comes up a year to the official graduating year of a student. For example, an Industrial Chemistry student studying a 4 year course will have his/her penultimate screening in 300 level while an Chemical Engineering student studying a 5 year course will have that in 400 level. What you should know about Prof. Ishaq Oloyede (Former VC of Unilorin and DG of JAMB)

Prof. Is-haq Olarewaju Oloyede was born in October 1954. He hails from Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State. He had his Secondary Education from 1969-1973 at the Progressive Institute, Agege Lagos and Arabic Training Centre Agege, Lagos, (Markaz) from 1973-1976 and later to the University of Ibadan between 1976 and 1977 where he obtained a certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Being an already recognised young and budding Islamic scholar, he proceeded to Unilorin in 1978 : Just 3 years after University of Ilorin was founded and graduated as a first class student in Arabic in 1981. The following year he became an Assistant Lecturer in the same prestigious Unilorin in the department of religions.
