List of New Executives of the Students Union Government Unilorin 2013/2014 Academic Session.

The New Crop of Executives for the Prestigious University of Ilorin Students Union Government who were voted in recently were Sworn in by the Vice Chancellor- Prof. Ambali on Saturday 15th of June, 2013.

Their names are listed below with their official titles.

President- Ahmed Lawal
Vice President- Oluwakemi Hassan
General Secretary- Kabir Jimoh
Assistant General Secretary- Timothy Orupe
Financial Secretary- Roland Ajetumobi
Welfare Secretary- Lukman Ayilara
PRO- Olanrewaju Balogun
PRO.II- Kamil Akorede
Sports Secretary- Isiaq Akande
Social Secretary- Oyakhire Ikhuemein.

The New Officials were charged to continue the Legacy of Stability and Peace and to ensure that they work hand in hand with the School Management. The Vice Chancellor also Promised on behalf of the Management to continue and improve on their efforts towards ensuring maximum comfortability for the Students. He also urged the Students' Union Government to employ the Use of Dialogue approach in resolving issues and never to take laws into their hands.

It is worthy of note that this set of Executives will be the first to be sworn in by the Vice chancellor who is yet to clock a year in office and to that effect He admonished the new officials "to be good role models who I shall be referring others to in terms of versatility, dynamism, commitment to development and service delivery to the students and the entire community as a whole".

Prof. A. Omotesho, the Dean of Students Affairs while presenting the new officials disclosed that the Students Affairs Unit will soon organise a workshop for the newly inaugurated excos. Ahmed (Ambassador) who is reputed to be one of the youngest students to ever take on the leadership of the SUG promised to work hand in hand with the School Authority to take the school to greater heights during his speech shortly after the Oaths Taking.

The election this year was very interesting with close range winnings, but above all very peaceful. We students will love to see new giant strides taken by this set of executives. Improvement is expected in the areas where the immediate past executives have been inadequate but we also expect innovative programmes and agenda from this team.
