New SUG Executives for University of Ilorin

The University of Ilorin took its well-known innovativeness a step further last Wednesday (May 28, 2014) when its students elected new leaders, using the electronic voting (e-voting) system. The new Executive Committee, led by Ahmed YakubI showo, a 300 Level Mathematics student, will pilot the affairs of the Students' Union in the 2014/2015 session.
Ishowo emerged the President-elect after polling 919 votes to defeat his five opponents, Aweda Jeremy, who got 505 votes, AlaoIdris, 322 votes, Agboola Jolayemi, 175 votes, Olayemi Michael, 147 votes, and Akanbi Damilare, 86 votes.

According to the results announced by ISEC,
AnifowosheTitilope emerged the new Vice President, Main Campus,
while Alabi Elizabeth became the Vice President, College of Health Sciences Campus.
Also elected were
Kadiri Kofoworola, General Secretary;
Oseni Salmat, Assistant General Secretary;
Oludowole Faith Oluwatomiwo,
Financial Secretary; Bakare Hammed,
Welfare Secretary, College of Health Sciences;
 and Mohammed Lawal, Welfare Secretary, Main Campus.
Others are Ayinde Bashir, Sports Secretary;
 AdeniranA bdulkareem, Public Relations Officer; and
 Osarentin David, Social Secretary
